It’s light, refreshing, and guaranteed to satisfy any sultry, sweet, and decadent craving one might have (yes, even at 8am)!

EspressoCoco-Date Smoothie

Yield: 2 6oz smoothies

Time: 5 minutes

DIRECTIONS

  1. In a blender, combine all of the ingredients. Feel free to add some frozen cauliflower and/or chocolate protein powder for a thicker consistency and added nutrients.

  2. Blend until smooth. If you’d prefer a smoother consistency, blend for 2-3 minutes to help ensure that the hazelnuts are completely dissolved.

  3. Garnish with coconut and coffee grounds and flaky sea salt.

  4. Dive in!

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup milk of choice

  • 3 dates, pitted

  • 1 banana, frozen

  • 1/2 cup frozen cauliflower

  • 2 tablespoons desiccated/shredded coconut

  • 1 tablespoon flax meal

  • 1/2 tablespoon ground coffee

  • 1/2 teaspoon almond or vanilla extract

  • heavy pinch of cinnamon

  • pinch of sea salt

  • 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder (optional)

    Toppings

  • Ground coffee, for garnish

  • Desiccated/shredded Coconut d, for garnish

Coconut

  • If you don’t have a liking for this ESSENTIAL ingredient… that’s fine, I suppose. You can substitute with tahini which is the only nut butter I can confirm is delicious in this perfect breakfast snack. Peanut butter works too, but save her for your sandwich. Okay, bye!
